Terms of Use
These terms apply to your use of Deadline Pro (“the app”). The app is distributed through the Apple App Store. In addition to these terms, Apple’s standard End User License Agreement applies to your installation of the app (available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/). Where the two conflict, Apple’s EULA takes precedence on points it covers.
What the app does
The app helps you calculate dates: add or subtract calendar/business days from a starting date, measure the duration between two dates, and track countdowns to deadlines you care about. It is a personal productivity tool.
Use the results carefully
The app is provided as-is, for personal information purposes only. Do not rely on the app’s output as legal, financial, or medical advice. Always confirm any deadline that has real-world consequences (court filings, contract dates, visa expirations, tax deadlines, etc.) against authoritative sources for your jurisdiction.
The business-day and holiday calculations use a third-party library (date-holidays). Public-holiday data varies by country and may not capture local observances, jurisdiction-specific bank holidays, court schedules, or unannounced changes. We cannot guarantee its accuracy.
License
You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the app on Apple devices you own or control, for the duration of these terms. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, redistribute, resell, or extract the app’s source code or assets, except where Apple’s EULA expressly permits.
Your data is yours
The app stores data on your device. You can export it or delete it at any time from Settings (see the Privacy Policy). We don’t have copies of it and cannot recover it for you if you delete it without exporting first.
Reminders and Calendar
If you enable reminders, the app schedules local notifications through iOS. If you choose to add a countdown to your iOS Calendar, the app writes an event into your default calendar using the system Calendar permission. You are responsible for managing those notifications and calendar entries on your device.
Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will meet your specific needs.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall the developer be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising out of your use of the app — including reliance on any date or duration the app calculates. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app.
Termination
You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or discontinue distribution of the app at any time; if we do, you keep whatever copy is already installed on your device, subject to these terms and Apple’s EULA.
Changes
We may update these terms when the app changes materially. The effective date above will move forward and the new text will be available in-app at Settings → Terms of Use. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the developer’s country of residence, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The Apple EULA’s governing-law clause covers matters between you and Apple as the distributor.
